Languages Spoken

The primary language spoken in Bridgewater is English. There are also a few people who still speak German or “Dutch as they call it. Lunenburg County has many German settlements and the “Dutch” dialect is still spoken by the same older people. Some people also speak Acadian French, since the Michelin Tire plant has drawn these people to the area.

There is also a small Chinese and Korean population.

Finally, several families also speak polish at home.
